The Royal Festival Hall in London hosted the 77th British Academy of Film and Television Arts Awards on Sunday. Actor David Tennant emceed the ceremony, during which Bollywood star Deepika Padukone accepted an award in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. Those that came out on top that evening were Poor Things and Oppenheimer. This year, the Christopher Nolan film won up to seven accolades. Following suit with a total of five awards was Emma Stone’s Poor Things. Top honors including Best Picture, Best Director (Christopher Nolan), Best Actor (Cillian Murphy), and Best Supporting Actor (Robert Downey Jr.) were all won by Oppenheimer.
